Indigenous AffairsBIS often operates in remote locations and sometimes close to Indigenous communities. We are committed to developing and maintaining relationships of mutual understanding and respect with the local and Indigenous communities in which we operate. BIS ensures total protection of Indigenous cultural heritage on all our remote area work sites. We seek appropriate Indigenous employment and training opportunities as part of our customer contracts where possible. |

Community ReachThe BIS Community Reach programme seeks to contribute to the environments in which we operate by supporting employees who are actively involved with a local community or charitable group. Community Reach not only benefits local charities, but also recognises employees for their contribution to a community throughout the business. We are proud of these employees and want to see their efforts supported. Applications for Community Reach funding go through a formal selection process which is approved by the BIS Board. Given our commitment to Zero Harm, we seek out applications that will benefit the environment, health or safety. |
