Kadin Mye is a member of the Girulda Community from Bowen in Central Queensland. Kadin has gained administrative experience with the Public Trustee office in Sydney and relocated to work at the Burton Site as an administration coordinator. Kadin likes the challenges of working on a mine site.
In October 2007, Bis Industries signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commonwealth’s Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) under its Corporate leaders program. It sets out a framework for cooperation on both a national and regional level and aims to increase employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians with Bis Industries.
We committed to develop localised strategies to increase the number of Indigenous people employed, provide access to career development opportunities and where possible retain Indigenous people in permanent positions.
DEWR committed to support Bis Industries through flexible funding, assistance, advice and support.
